Hi all,

I want to share some information about visa fee payment. May be useful for someone.

I recently paid visa fee for Self+Spouse+Child with an Australian credit card from a relative.

it came down to

(3670+1835+920) + 63 = 6488 AUD.

So 63 AUD is the service charge from the Credit card which is around 3200 INR.

I think this is one of the best option next to travel card.

Please share different options and their service charges so that the community can follow this thread for visa payment options.

Thanks in advance !!!

What will be the additional charges, if we pay by HDFC or ICICI forex card?

Yes. Initially I took help from a agent for document collection and gave 10K.

63 AUD service charge applies when paying from travel card as well.

This (Australian CC) is actually the best option out there. Travel card is the second best. Paying using an Australian CC, you get to repay your friend/ relative with the exact dollar rate as of that date (and similarly your friend gets to buy at that rate), he probably earns some reward points for using his CC and benefits from saving any additional fees he would have otherwise paid for exchanging his AUD to INR.

No additional charges except for the 150 INR you pay as the one time card purchasing fees; but ICICI/ HDFC sell you the AUD at a higher rate, I think about 1 INR per AUD more than the google/ xe.com rate on that day.

That's good. It means Forex card or CC will have the same service charges.

We will have an edge of getting AUD at the same rate if we have some relative or friend in Oz.

You can pay but the conversion charges will be high!
Try to get a forex card at for a good rate, if you don't know anyone in Oz.
