Dear Friends,

We have just started our 189 visa process being my wife as primary applicant. Below are her details

Age: 32 (30)
Edu: BE CSE (15)
Eng: PTE 50 (0)
Exp: 11yrs (15)
Spouse Skill: (5)

So in total she will get 65 points with my skill accessed by ACS. She is datawarehousing specialist but her role is equivalent to Software engineer, so we decided to go with it.

But I need your help in my case, I'm a Database Administrator, but my visa agency advising me to apply for System Analyst. Does anyone here applied for System Anlayst (being database Administraor). if so please provide me some sample letters/templates. Thanks in avacne

Here you go... Just change the roles and responsibilities as per your required ANZSCO code from here:

https://more.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0019/128035/ANZSCO-Code-Information-2017.pdf

I copy pasted exacted same thing for my reference letter(Software Engineer) with just some modifications

DB Administrator requires 190 VISA, thats why they are telling to change it to System Analysts.

I highly recommend to improve PTE score to get more points... even if she could score 10 points it would highly boost... I have seen a lot of 70+ pointers on the queue ... so its better if she could improve it

I dont understand why migration agencies in India mislead clients.I know they want to receive commission but still.....In most cases the document you submit will go to your HR for verification .Sometimes they might do physical verification in your company which can easily prove your job responsibilities are not pertaining to system analyst. So you lose visa fees and migration agency dont lose any thing .

Thanks for your response. Yes she is trying to score 65 in PTE. In my total 10yrs of exp I have worked in 5companies, to apply and get an experience letter from all company is very time consuming process. My first company has closed their operations and other company has merged and renamed. So can I do self declaration?

Being an administrator for more than 10yrs, I have also handled projects individually and provided end to end support. Also 70% of systems analyst roles I'm playing in my company. Possibly after reviewing my profile they might have advised for Systems Analyst. Before applying I want to get the feedback of experts in this group.

Statutory Declaration from your colleague(preferably your Supervisor) is accepted by ACS...Since you are saying you have 70% role as System Analyst and you dont have any problem in getting RNR for the same....Go ahead and do it.... I dont think it is mandatory to work in the same role in Australia as that you are applying for... people change roles depending on lot of factors

You are good to go...

Hi Newbienz,

Thanks for all your help. Totally unrelated to the thread but I would like to know, have you moved to Australia before Grant?

My managers/Team lead will sign the statutory declaration
Then it's good enough
I hope you have the required secondary evidence to submit with the SD .
