Hi all,

I have been waiting 6 months for my nomination to be approved by DIBP. I received an email from home affairs this morning stating the below. I checked my nomination with my employer and its still not approved and my visa in my Immi account is still saying 'received'. Has anyone received this notification before? My medicals are booked for 30Apr21 so based on the notifcation it would suggest my nomination is going to be approved and they will start to process my 186 visa?

email came from : [email protected]

Any help would be great

Thanks

We are writing to inform you that your application for an Employer Sponsored Entry visa will shortly be allocated to a Decision Maker for assessment. To reduce potential processing delays you may wish to commence your application for relevant onshore/ offshore police certificates and health examinations, if you have not already done so.

If you have already completed and submitted all required police certificates and health examinations, please check that they remain valid and have not expired.

It doesn’t say it is ready to be approved
It just says that they will start processing it and it’s in your interest to ensure that all your PCc and medicals are completed and valid
The decision to approve or deny will come once it’s processed
Cheers

Nomination was approved this morning 13Apr21. So hopefully visa changes from 'received' to 'initial assessment' soon. Medicals are booked for 30Apr21

That's great! Good luck. Could you please let me know what your ANZSCO code is?

I believe they won't look at your application until your medical has been cleared. Once cleared, your application could transition from 'received' to 'finalised' immediately with a direct grant. Although I could be wrong.
