Hi guys;
Now that the visa has been granted; I need to move on and think about the real stuff..:)

I know that I will need to get the visa label in the passport (through VFS or the Australian embassy in Delhi).......apart from this is there anything else which I need to do ?

Do I need to inform "Immigration SA" that my visa has been granted?

DIAC informs SA about the visa grant. Their computer systems are quite advanced. Thanks to IT professionals like us ;-)

I got an automated email from SA govt a few days after the visa grant. There is a link in the email which I need to click once I am there in SA. I have to provide them my address in SA.

I still havent got any email from SA. Is this is a reason for worry?
One question : If I get a job in a firm which is based in SA but the job requires me to travel all over Australia .Can I take up the job?
Or do I have to actually ONLY work in SA ?
btw, when are you planning to move to SA ?
do keep us posted of any new developments on your side..

I think if you are working for an employer based in the state and your main home is there they will be happy even if you are sent to other states or even overseas for extended periods. And if you have a main home there and are sent elsewhere, where you need to rent another place you could claim LAFHA.

Congrats on the visa :)

Hi All,
Need your guidance, I have recently received PR(176), SS from SA.
I have been applying for jobs in SA, and not getting much response from consultants...
query:
Can I apply for jobs in other states and work there initially and return to SA when I get a job in SA?
or strict compliance is required ? that I need to stay and work in SA for first 2 years from my arrival.

I will be moving to SA in April.

This question has been answered so many times....You have a moral obligation to live and work in the sponsored state...but if you are not getting job in that state that you have all the rights to work in some other state. This would not influence you in any way..(not even when you would be applying for citizenship later)...
