Has anyone from a High Risk country applied State Sponsored Visa 176 last December 2011 already have a Case Officer? It's almost 3 months and still I have not receive any news if we already have a CO.

I thought State Sponsorship is faster. My field is in ICT. =(

Hey John, Unfortunately State Sponsorship DOES NOT speed up your Security check at all, speed of security check is the same for all visa classes. SS gets you a CO faster but that's it. This is because DIAC coordinates with third party security agents who are super slow :S , i still don't know why they can't do it as fast as other countries like Canada, US, etc where it takes few weeks for security check.

I've seen many philipinos get through without Security check but some do, the bad news is that security check takes an additional 6 - 12 Months in most cases. But don't worry be positive hopefully things work out

Thanks mate! yeah! i called and did post lodgement query.. but only got an email that inquiry will be forwarded to the appropriate area. Its been weeks and still got have not receive any email from them. i will try to be more patient and just wait.

Hey john, apologies it seems i misread part of your post (long day) anyways i was under the assumption that you already got a CO.

In this case you need to call up DIAC directly or send them a PLE asap, because you are supposed to get a CO within 4 weeks max no more (since you are state sponsored) , its been already a couple of months in your case, so something is definitely not right.
