I applied 176 yesterday and got the automated email from DIAC today.

Now I am uploading supporting docs and have some questions:

when I logged in to attach docs I see the following --

In your case, when you logged in to upload docs, did you also find similar docs (Security Referral Application form) uploaded before you uploaded anything?

what does it mean?

This form is generated after you fill up the character particulars ONLINE web-form it is used for security check, DIAC will conduct your security check using this form. This form is not uploaded, its generated by diac system.

Some people say it only appears for HR countries, interestingly it also appeared for me. I never filled it , just ignored it and so far they haven't asked for it fingers crossed .

Looking around some people ignored it and weren't asked for it even after grant, i believe they ONLY ask for it or use it if they plan to conduct a lengthy security check.

In my document checklist I was asked for 'Evidence of overseas qualifications', which by my knowledge is to upload educational qualifications.
However, there's no 'Evidence for work experience' in my document checklist!

Not sure what should I do now?? Also, not sure in which category I should upload the bank statements.

Would really appreciate if anybody could shed a bit of light please. Thanks in advance.

'Evidence of overseas qualifications' -- yes, this is about educational qualification.
'Evidence for work experience' --- same here, it was not under my documents checklist, still I uploaded all my evidence regarding work experience under this type, including the bank statements.

somewhere I found that we have to upload all docs that we used for ACS skill assessment.

It's the same for me. I did not have evidence of work experience on my doc checklist. But when I got an email from my CO it had a mention of submitting docs to prove work experience.

Thanks a lot @saydur,@coolsnake. I'm definitely gonna do the same, to avoid any surprises . However, another question popped into my head:

I applied for ACS on last July, 2011. So, my experience certificate is from that date. Should I prepare a new exp. cert. for 176 or should I submit the previous one? (Though I think, I should prepare a new exp. cert, however, my Line manager has changed since then, so the confusion)

Hi,

As you are in the same job as you were in July, 2011, it's better to reissue the experience cert (exactly same) with CURRENT issue date, so that the CO can have clear idea about your job profile till date.

I have done the same. I have collected again the exp cert with CURRENT date just before I applied 176 and uploaded the new one. Hope that change of line manager would not be an issue.

Actually someone got me a bit confused (even though it's a bit late to ask this question)
While applying for Victoria SS, I've chosen:

Q13.1 Please indicate your planned settlement location *
Metropolitan Melbourne

So if and when I'll be granted 176, I can enter and live in Metropolitan Melbourne inshallah, and will not be forced to live in regional Victoria. Is my assumption right?

My second question is: I've sent an e-mail to smp victoria with my TRN on 2nd last night. How long it takes for them to acknowledge and send 1100 to DIAC?

right you are. With 176, you are free to live anywhere in VIC including Metropolitan Melbourne. People with 475 are bound to live in regional Victoria.

It might take a week or so.
