Hi all,

I am new to this group. I applied for 175 visa a business analyst on feb 2012. I have completed my medicals and pcc and front loaded. I am in australia presently and not from a low risk country

Can some one let me know the processing time right now for priority group 4. My agent says the CO will be allocated within 4 -6 weeks based on fast processing that is happening now. I hope that is true but looking at the forum's i cant see anyone getting a CO that early :). Can someone please help

coming from a low risk country and being in Australia at the time of application don't really affect the allocation time, the visa type does.

If you applied for the on-shore 885, you will get a CO within 4 weeks, however if you applied 175, I do not think you will get a CO within 4 weeks as they are currently processing applications from May and June 2011, therefore at least few months before they can get to Feb 2012

:)

Yeah even i thought so but my agent was confident. So lets wait and see or atleast it may start within 6 months. Getting an 7 in IELTS (each section) has been difficult. I had to give twice despite good english. It becomes a touch more difficult if given here. So the number of applications may have reduced post june 2011. So hoping for the best.:clap2:

Hi Ponsil,
I see you and me have similar times, I also applied for a 175 visa on 09/06/2011 just some weeks later than you did, I hired a migration agent and so far on the webpage to check the progress it says "APPLICATION BEING PROCESSED FURTHER", that appeared on 13/02/2012, ¿ that it means that I already got a CO assigned ? ¿ could you tell me what appears on your status page ?
I'm pretty nervous about it because I'm already in Australia on a tourism visa which expire on 17/04/2012, that's in just some weeks ... I don't have idea if can be possible than the visa is granted in that time. ¿ Do you have idea how many time it takes to get the visa approved once you have CO assigned ?
Thanks a lot man
175 no way takes 4-6 weeks, yes processing is faster that before, but its still at least 6 months for the most part (huge improvement over previous 12-18 months!)

Yes you have a case officer already. You might get the visa before your visit visa expires only if your country is in Low-risk category. Not sure about Columbia, but if ur High risk then you have to wait another 6 - 12 Months.
Hi guys,

I applied for 175 (paper application) on 14th June 2011 (priority 4). As per the CO allocation date published in the website, they have allocated CO till 20th June 2011. The website mentioned that applications before there dates have been contacted by CO. However, I'm yet to receive any communication from CO. Is this normal guys? I cant check online cause I lodged a paper application (stupid me). Tried to call them, but office closed already

My Visa online status just says APBF, nothing more, even though all the required documents status already changed to "met".

To be honest, I dont know when we will get the Visa grant after CO allotment. I have sent e-mail to the CO few times to find out about the further status of my application but I have never been answered within 7 working days as promised. So now, I am just waiting for this Visa grant, nothing else I can do...:):(
