A new international private health company has launched in Singapore with a range of plans for expats, locals and companies.

Now Health International, which has its headquarters in Hong Kong and also has offices in Shanghai, the UK and the United Arab Emirates, has partnered with Tenet Sompo Insurance to launch international healthcare plans in Singapore.

New international healthcare plans are being launched in Singapore for expats, locals and companies

It is offering four different levels of cover: Essential, Advance, Excel and Apex and the annual maximum benefit limit for all plans is US$3 million. There is an additional option for hospital treatment within Singapore and Hong Kong in a semi-private room with a 5% discount.

Rob McIntyre has been appointed general manager of the Singapore operation. He has many years of international health insurance experience in both Europe and Asia and in particular Singapore.

‘I’m looking forward to building up the understanding of what Now Health brings to the international health insurance market for this region. I’m confident that the service offering is going to be of particular interest for intermediaries and customers alike,’ he said.

He explained that the new range of admitted plans are available to both individuals and companies, and the proposition is not only available to the expat community, but also to Singaporean local nationals.

‘As with all of Now Health’s other regions, Singapore based customers will benefit from Now Health’s unique service promises and award winning online tools to administer their plan,’ said the firm’s chief executive officer Martin Garcia.

‘And all global members can also enjoy the local support provided by our Singapore branch and the expanded cashless network while they are visiting Singapore,’ he added.

The firm has also launched a service that enables intermediaries to get quotes and buy cover online on behalf of individual and SME clients.

For individual customers, Intermediaries Online allows intermediaries to get multiple quotes, save and edit quotes, download pre-filled application forms, access Now Health’s shortened set of three underwriting questions for online applications, and buy on behalf of clients.

For SMEs, there is also a quote tool that provides access to Now Health’s full medical underwriting rates, the ability to generate and save multiple quotes, downloadable pre-filled application forms and a membership list upload facility.
