Default Moving to LA from UK with O-visa

Hi all,

I live in the UK and am a scientist. Last year I received a formal job offer from a healthcare company based in LA and had my visa submitted in March 2020 (O1 visa). Unfortunately COVID struck and I've had to delay another 3-6 months. The most recent presidential proclamation looks to extend this ban, but from what Ive read the ban only applies to certain visa types, but other reports say otherwise.

I am really looking forward to moving, have visited LA 3 times and absolutely love it. However I dont understand a lot of the emmigration procedures. My visa application is submitted, and I am waiting to hear if the inital stage is approved and I am invited for an interview.

My questions are:

Does anyone know if the ban applies to all visa types, or just the ones listed?

Has anyone here emmigrated on an O visa, and if so what is the interview at the embassy like? (questions about your application, or general questions about your past, future plans etc.)

Is it worth shipping furniture across, or just selling it here and buying stuff out there?

Im looking forward to moving and starting my new job, but I'm finding the whole process overwhelming. COVID is certainly not helping the stress levels!

Looks, other reports, ... . When it comes to immigration please go to the source. You received an offer in 2019 and nothing was submitted until March 2020? Why the delay? What does your contact at your potential US employer say? What does the legal department say?

Once your petition is approved you will be notified.

My questions are:

What ban? Again - have you contacted your potential employer? Has your potential employer discussed things with the attorney/legal department handling your petition or are they using COVID to push things out? https://www.whitehouse.gov/president...irus-outbreak/

Emmigrated? Try immigrated please. Questions are to a point based on the individual. There is no "how to properly answer" check list. Give concise answers and do not reinvent the wheel.

That is a personal choice. I do not know how well used furniture/household items sell in the UK. Closets are generally walk in or built in and kitchens are furnished.

O is one of the easier processes.
