Internet

We are moving to Torre del Mar on Jan 20th and speak limited Spanish. Can anyone recommend someone to connect us to the internet? We are looking to provide a home catering service and also prepare foods for local markets etc, any ideas where we should start to advertise ourselves? We are experienced caterers.

:welcome:

I personally would contact movistar - that's the main phone & internet company in Spain & I've been happy with them for 10 years, though there will be local 'resellers' in your area

before you start thinking about advertising your business, have you sorted out applying for your licenses, insurances & food hygiene certs?

the local ayuntamiento will point you in the right direction for what is needed in your area

Many people advertise in the Sentinell or Grapevine magazines. That would be a start. We are with Iberbanda. They are not bad, but where we live, there are no telefonica lines and Iberbanda supply us with a satellite connected phone. When you get here you could talk to BT, they are in partnership with Telefonica, but there are other companies out here such as RioSat.

There are one or two catering companies in the area, I see their vans out and about. My wife and I used to have an outside catering business many years ago in the UK. We used Yellow Pages in those days and got a lot of business that way as well as word of mouth recommendations.
I wish you luck, it is going to be a challenging project out here.
