Default Applying for residencia before 2021 - Alicante region

Hi

We are looking to move to spain - Torrevieja area and are both in our thirties.

We bought an apartment in 2014 and own a holiday home in Bulgaria outright, Home in the uk (mortgage with 50k capital) and have 100k savings in the bank.

We also have a spanish account that we have had since we have bought the apartment.

In regards to proving income, My wife would be looking for a job over there and I can rent out the properties that we have. Would this be sufficient for proving income? Does the money for the 3 months have to go into the spanish account? Not sure if the savings that we have would be sufficient enough.

Also does getting the initial residence permit get you on the ladder before brexit happens? Thanks

Regardless of what the income levels are will you have Sufficient income to live here, whilst itís cheaper than the U.K. in many aspects itís almost as expense in others. Your wife will be looking for a job. What is she looking for, unemployment here is very high. Looking for a job will have no bearing on income requirement the money has to be shown, and I suspect for the rental income it would have to be a proven track record not this is what we can do.

According to the news today, you have to apply for residency by June 2021.

You will need

Proof of income. Depending on area ranging from 6/7k pppa
Proof of address
Private health care - as you are not retired
And a few other bits according to the local requirement.
