Default Arrivals at Malaga airport

Anyone know if the arrivals is used also for departures when picking somebody up at Malaga airport. I have successfully been to departures and mastered that with my motorhome but could not investigate if it is possible to pick up at arrivals in the motorhome, wherever it is.
Thanks in advance

There is a very short term (15 míns I think) free parking for pick ups. It is on the upper floor, that is the departures floor.

I tell family to meet me outside departures

I tell family to fly to Granada (GRX) friendly airport and easy pick-ups/drop-offs

Thanks once more Juan for that. I wondered if it was that ha ha. Only problem is where to go slow and hang about a bit whilst waiting for my wife's phone call that she's waiting there and read to pick up as 15 mins is a bit quick huh. The road outside maybe or the BP garage if I check the way to it. Be used to it when I've been a few times. Gracias

Thanks for your reply buddy. I will get used to these new airports as I did for Alicante for a couple of years. My wife said GRX Granada didn't fly to Bristol, so Malaga was chosen. Sounds nice. Road to Malaga airport was horrendous with traffic hold ups when closing in. Not the best time, 0845 check in.
cheers

If you take the road from the M 23 (N 340) to The airport, it’s the N-348, at the first roundabout turn left, you are on a small industrial area, Trucks park along the south side of the road. I usually wait there for a call that my family have arrived.

Back to the roundabout you can take the road to departures.

Takes a few minutes. But you can only then park in car park. As I said free for 15 mins

Well I thought I had cracked it but dropping my wife off recently all was going good. Got my ticket for 15 mins and proceeded in my motorhome to the next barrier as usual. Stopped got out and waved at the camera that opens the barrier, nothing. Now waiting for a courtesy van to join me which was quite quick. Driver gets out and waves at the camera, nothing so he proceeded to a taped off box on the left of my van and pressed a button, talked to somebody and presto the barrier opened. The mind boggles. I guess looking at the BP garage a pick up there might work as it looks like you can access the overhead walkway to the departures there but not much chance of parking the van. Maybe my wife on pick up could work it out.

I used to wait in San Julian which is five minutes from the airport. There is a bar there which is open late and usually it's easy to park.

I don't pick up people any more unless they arrive late at night as there is an excellent fast bus service to Estepona and Marbella. The last bus is around 9.30 p.m. though.
I tell good friends not to be cheapskates and to fly at decent albeit more expensive times.

Granada is not a new airport and is over 200km round trip from Malaga.
