Default Shops in Alicante.

Hi everyone
Iím hoping you good people can help me. My wife and I (both pensioners) are about to start preparations to move to Spain within the next few months. Our area of choice is Alicante, more specifically the areas of Ciudad Quesada, Benimar, Dona Pepa, Guardamar Del Segura, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, San Luis and Villamartin. We are sitting for hours using Google Earth just going round and round the aforesaid areas, the problem we are coming up with is we can find no shops near the housing. We need to be near shops as we are both disabled and cannot travel too far. Can anybody give me the name of any street/road in any of our preferred areas where the shops are so that we can see for ourselves the distance we would need to travel? Any help at all would be really appreciated.
Thank you very much
Steve.

La Zenia Blvd is one of the best shopping malls you could find to live nearby to in the province of Alicante. The layout is superb. A Lidl store and Consum supermarket not far. If buying, look at Casa Manuels estate agency nearby. (Featured on Ch 4 again recently). Quesada is a purpose built place and quite crowded, especially with traffic. Rojales and Benimar nice places and all have bus services and all approximately 15-20 mins from La Zenia in a car. Good luck.

My sister lives on the VillaMartin estate and there are no shops to be seen except in the centre where the shops/bars and night clubs are. Villamartin is a massive sprawling estate with lots of hilly areas. They definitely needed a car to do their shopping and get down to the beach area.

Not a place I would recommend.
