This guide to buying property in Spain, produced by the UK Government (but will be relevant to you as an EU citizen) is useful.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-b...perty-in-spain

One of the first things you will need to do to be in a position to buy a Spanish property is to obtain an NIE number (basically a tax identification number for foreign citizens, you don't need to be resident in Spain to get one as people who, for example, inherit a property in Spain from a relative need one although they may never have lived in Spain or have any intention of doing so). These can, if it is more convenient, be obtained from a Spanish consulate overseas so you might be able to do it in your home country, but if not they need to be applied for (in person, but you can give someone else official authorisation to collect the certificate with your NIE number on) at either an Extranjeria office or Policia Nacional office in Spain (sometimes they are in the same building but not always). The application form to complete is an EX15.

If you intend to move here right away you can skip this process and just register as an EU citizen resident in Spain, and you will be allocated an NIE number as part of that process. In that case the form you need is an EX18 but you will also have to provide evidence that you have sufficient income to support yourself without becoming a burden on the Spanish state, and also that you have healthcare cover. If you are paying social security contributions as an autonomo, that would suffice for evidence that you are entitled to Spanish public healthcare.

Until you have bought a property and moved over here you will need to open a non resident bank account with a Spanish bank in the first instance. Charges for non resident accounts are quite high (€120 a year or more) but once you have registered as a resident the account can be changed to a resident one.

As you are self-employed you would need to register as "autonomo" with the Seguridad Social. I will leave it to another member with far more knowledge than I about taxes for the self-employed to explain that.
