re price.

Veganism,,, latest fad, so expect to pay 50% more for a 'similar' normal meal.
Barcelona,,, very expensive city, so expect to pay 50% more for any meal.

Maybe the question should be ''what are the LEAST expensive restaurants?''.

Google "vegan Barcelona" and lots come up. Also try Trip Advisor for reviews. No reason why they should be any more expensive, especially as some of them are run by co-ops.

We travel to Barcelona frequently and since my son and I are both vegan, here are some places we like.

Vegan-friendly
Parking Pizza. Located on Passeig Saint Joan between Carrer de la Diputacio and Carrer del Consell de Cent, you might walk right by it as it's in what was once a parking lot. All you'll see is a small hanging sign on the open garage door. We did a no-cheese pizza here that was one of the best we've had.
Habibi. If you like mediterranean food and are in Las Ramblas - this is the place. Most of the Turkish places you'll find are all about the kebabs/shwarma. This place has great couscous , tangine, etc. Recommend the red tea as well. Finish upstairs with a hookah if you choose. Great vegan and veggie options here.

Vegan/vegetarian
Vegetalia. Several locations in Barcelona. We ate at the one at the corner of Carrer dels Escudellers and Carrer d'en Carabassa. We did an appitizer sampler (pica pica) w/th pita, hummus, etc. and some fantastic empanadas. Good enough for non-vegans.
Vacka. Located on Carrer de Seneca between Carrer de la Riera de Sant Miguel and Carrer de Minerva. Place is small, hip and dog friendly. Food quality is top notch. Try the fresh juices. Burgers are good. Bowls are good. Double chocolate cake for dessert is a must - even if you're too full.
Veggie Garden. Located near the University of Barcelona on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes between Carrer de Balmes and Carrer de Palai. Also recommend the fresh juices and the tofu burger. Momos for starters (skip the hummus - go to Habibi's if you want the real deal).
