Default Buying beds in Costa Blanca North

Hello all,

I hope to have settlement on a house in a few days and would like to move right in. The problem is there's no furniture. I will need beds right away.

Normally I take my time and shop around, especially for something I hope will last years. This time I want to buy beds and get them delivered fast, but I'm afraid of throwing money away on something that's really no good.

I'm staying in another province while I wait for paperwork to be completed so I can't shop there locally.

Can anyone in the Costa Blanca North area recommend a good mattress/bed shop with quick delivery and reasonable prices that I can go to quickly when I arrive? Shopping online for mattresses leaves me lost as I have no idea what they're really like.

Thanks!

My sincere apologies about the delay in responding; off the usual device for too long. I'm thinking the Gandia - Oliva, even Pego, area. I suppose Denia isn't too far either. Delivery is important as there's not too much I can stuff into a Fiat 500.

Yes, I'm seriously thinking Ikea and having them deliver. Has anyone had any experience with the timing of their deliveries? I'm seeing 48-72 hours - is that fairly accurate? Any recommendations for a particular Ikea bed?

Thanks!

For our main bedroom we bought one of their Ottoman style beds with storage. We've found this ideal. I think it is the Kvitsoy model. For the smaller second bedroom we bought a steel sofa bed (Fyresdal). We also bought some of their storage boxes to fit under the Fyresdal bed and some of their zip up soft storage containers to fit in the Kvitzoy. We bought and had delivery from the Murcia store (haven't visited the Valencia store yet). We also ordered a Landskrona sofa, chair and "pouffe". Delivery was a bit hit and miss (April / May 2017). The first delivery date was missed - they called on the day to say they couldn't deliver but delivered the day after. No issues with delivery on that occasion. With the Landskrona suite the (subcontracted) delivery guys clearly did not want to bring the furniture to the 9th floor (I had made it clear that some of the furniture may not fit in the lift) and I had to phone Ikea (whilst the delivery guys were there) to tell them to either deliver the furniture or take it away. They delivered it!

Main road into Denia from the N332, several bed shops along here with parking right outside. Most offer very quick delivery too
