Default Birth certificate for new born baby

Hi all,

Has anyone ever tried to register the birth of their child when one of the parents do not have a valid visa/permit?
That is two foreign nationals had a baby in SA one of the parents has some issues wth visa and the case is in the minister's office under review.

How does home affairs handle such situation? Anyone ever faced such?

Thanks for your help

unfortunately if the mother does not have a visa then you cant register the baby. If it is the father who doesnt have the visa then the mother can just register the baby under her own name.
