That brings back memories of us living in Cairo...

* Policeman would signal for our driver to turn off the head lights since they are blinding him.

* In rural areas, everyone drive in complete darkness, then would turn on their high beam when approximately 20 yards from each other to say "I am here!" Of course you can't see anything from the blindness for the next 30 seconds

* Egyptian-Logic is a learned experience...

Of course not, he was on his mobile and probably far too busy to notice.

It's nearly over for me, thankfully...

People say you get used to the awful driving etc etc etc so it doesn't bother you anymore but I'm getting worse. I am getting fed up of being stressed even before I get to work.

This never has, or ever will be home.

4 years and counting then glorious Gozo here I come!

There was a collision with a car back in October.

Could it be the headline "Shares in Dubai Metro and Tram operator Serco crash after fourth profits warning" that you're referring to?

Pet hate of the week: the fact that I waste at least 3-4 hours a week showing up on time for meetings, only to wait 30-45 minutes for everyone else to turn up.

The upside is that I'm getting very good at Candy Crush.
