As a non smoker in Dubai my only option is to is to stand outside in the sweltering heat and not be poisoned by the selfish few.
So, you don't mind loads of unruly little "darlings", shouting, screaming, throwing things and generally being a pain in the arse when you're trying to have a meal.

No not really. I have no kids myself, but my head also isn't stuck up my.....I am not the center of the world, nor will i act like it.

I understand that families do exist, I also accept that families needs "family time". I also understand that you shouldn't be bringing kids into a bar, but a restaurant is okay.

As a child did your parents never take you out for a meal? I see it like learner drivers, everyone hates them - but sorry Made in Sheffield you were a learner driver once. So bear with them and give the parents a break.

Yes there are non-smoking pubs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. That's great, but they are far and few between. It should be universally banned, like Canada, and UK. USA is getting there, slowly. In 2015, I shouldn't be coming home from a club smelling of cigarettes. Especially as we all know of the health issues it causes in later life.

I've learnt in life, smokers are usually the most selfish of all people. Second Hand smoke kills, its a fact. Smoking in Dubai is becoming my biggest gripe with the country.
You're selfish to demand "a universal ban".
Isn't it wonderful that Dubai caters to people from all walks of life?
You have a choice. I chose a smoking pub, you can chose a non-smoking one.
And there is always, "If you don't like it you can go back home".

I'm more worried about pollution from petrol guzzling cars and trucks, factories, building sites and the sand particles in the air.
I bet you drive one of those particularly thirsty big cars. Thanks for polluting my air.

Funny how you automatically assume that because somebody complains about unruly kids they "hate them". Hate is a very strong word.

What happened to having manners and having rules for children? It seems that so many nowadays are allowed to run riot with no rules whatsoever. The maids are too scared to say no to them. The parents haven't got a clue what a big responsibility it is to bring up children.
What sort of adults will these pampered and precious little things turn out to be?

Well, according to you I won't live to see that, being a smoker and all.

Not really selfish in any way, as Canada, UK, Ireland, Russia, Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, South Africa (it goes on and on) all have universal smoking bans. I believe in the UAE, the population that don't smoke out weigh the one that do smoke by 75%. Smoking kills, both 2nd hand smoke and 1st hand. It's fact, and even defending yourself in the childish manner, kind of prove my point. In the couple of posts I've seen of you I am quite disappointed.

Those factories, car and trucks keep the world living. Yes we should use energy that is cleaner and more efficient (but shh i'll tell you a secret, oil makes the world work). Nether less, I don't drive, I live in complex where I work. I did get a plane on here though, so that's a slap on the old wrist for using a plane instead of a sailing boat.

Clearly I was talking about learner drivers, keep up. I believe smoking affects mental health as well

I don't think I'm the centre of the world and I definitely don't act like it.

Yes, my mum and dad did used to take me out for meals BUT I had to behave myself.

Give parents a break? You mean the ones looking on adoringly while their offspring were causing havoc?

Too many parents want to be their child's best friend these days so are too afraid to discipline them. Just my opinion but hey ho.

I suggest you familiarise yourself with the laws of the land...
We wouldn't want to see another "banged up abroad" now, would we.

Talking about kids, as long as your conscience is clear - everything is good.

Are you iggles in disguise?

Let's hope you're not as generous with the middle finger as you're with the index finger.
