I've experienced people in my building, who manage to open the door to the tiny room that houses the garbage chute. But then can't be ar$ed to actually use the chute and leave a pile of garbage next to it.

Arrgh, WTF

can someone explain me why people who say call back in 15 minutes get angry when I actually call the back in 15 minutes.

" would NEVER let anyone use my bathroom"

"I would let them use it once and then tell them they need to find alternate arrangements - like going before they start work. It is not a basic human right. It's basic common sense to go before you show up at work. They aren't going to be there for eight hours after all! "

Horrible madams. Not that I ever want to meet these kind of people but I would take great pleasure in denying these madams the use of a toilet when they are all brunched up.

but that's not the worst..

I wouldn't let them use my facilities. They are part time workers so they can manage it beforehand. Going in the bushes is natural for them, sorry to say that. In their country a woman would not let them in to use her facilities. In fact, I don't even know why they think that it is ok to ask you, you must have given them plenty of way. Do you make them a coffee too? I bet you do.

Playing devils advocate - and not agreeing with the thread, or seeing an update from the 1st two posts. But just picking on your own comment.

So say you were back in the UK, and builder was working on an extension to your house in the middle of winter. He's only just started digging out the foundations, therefore the conditions are wet, cold and miserable. He has dirty boots from digging up the foundations, therefore constantly bringing in mud to your home when ever he and his labourers needed the loo or want to eat lunch in some warmth.

What would you say or do?

You'd probably say ""I would let them use it once and then tell them they need to find alternate arrangements".

One of my friends recently had an extension put in. The company she used actually brought their own facilities.

I have a no-shoes policy in my home.

I think that person's trolling. Regarding the original post, I can see the predicament. They're trashing her bathroom - no one likes that. And she can't do much about it- it's going to be pretty awkward to try and have some sort of 'Toilet Training' session with them like they were 5-year-olds who had just graduated from using a potty and needed to learn how to properly use a toilet. On the other hand, people gotta use the toilet.

From the post it seems that there is another place where they can use the bathroom but they don't find it as conveniently located - I'd say in that situation it's fine to stop letting them use your facilities. If they weren't trashing it, that'd be one thing, but the general rule of all sharing is that you have to be a good steward of other people's things. If they can't keep the bathroom clean and in good repair, they can use the public toilet.
