. Hopefully, I'll see this one on my iPad.

My rant for the day - don't know how to get through the horrors of canceling crappy cable from etisalat. Seems the phrase "I want to cancel my cable subscription" doesn't compute in the brains of etisalat staff

Had such a lovely elevator experience today Came in to work and had a wonderful gentleman hold the elevator door for me and then another wonderful gentleman hold it open so I could get out.

I usually have to wait till everyone rushes in or rushes out. I hope I see these people every day

This is the state of our lives in Dubai, that a simple gesture as holding the elevator door open for someone is so rare that when it actually happens, you can't wait to tell the whole world about it!

I am sure that would be ABSOLUTELY necessary due to the lack of whiners frequenting this forum. We will never, ever be able to locate this thread

What I love is when I am walking through our building entryway and someone makes eye contact as they get on the elevator, and the door still shuts before I get there. You saw me and then pushed the door close button, nice

To be fair, if I saw you, I'd probably not want to be confined to a small space with you either.

got in the lift at work last week.
There were three of us - me, some bloke, and a 'local gentleman'.

I pushed the button for the top floor (21)
'some bloke' pushed the button for (11)
'local gentleman' pushed the button for (18)

The local gentleman stood by the panel, and behind his back, he subtley re-pressed the (11) button to cancel it. He knew i had seen him, and he had a wry smile on his face.
First stop? (18)
no pesky 12 second delay to his journey!!

'some bloke' was very confused.
