Default Looking for friends to move together

Hi,

I am a permanent resident of Australia, got it in 2012 but just visited in march, 2013 and came out for a job in US. My heart is still in Australia as i really want to make a move but scared of job prospects and economy - higher cost of living. I have a nice job in US but I am not a permanent resident of US. So, sometime I need to make a decision what to do.

I am looking for some people who are planning to move to Australia/Oz big cities Melboune, Brizzy, or Sydney. May be we can chart out the plan and move together permanently.

I am married, age 32, no kids. My wife will move along with me. Live in northeast of US and planning to make a move ASAP if I have some good friends and guidance on how to go about this adventure. Let me know if you are also looking for something like this and willing to share your experiences, thoughts.
piya and delvy like this.

Yeah both of us are in IT. How about you guys? And which city do you plan to go?

I was in Melbourne on business visa back in 2007 and I liked the city . So I encouraged my husband to land in Melbourne first. His experience was mixed and he wants to explore Sydney and Perth.

So when he goes in Feb , he would be in Sydney . Also we think that there are more jobs in Sydney compared to any other city in AU.

However cost of living is the real killer there.

Yes we are in IT too. I agree, Syndey is very costly, I have been to Brisbane. I like Melbourne or Brisbane for IT more. So what is the plan you will quit and go or you are moving with job?

I could not manage to get even an interview call in last 4 months. And same is the case with my husband. So I have to quit and go. My husband has already resigned and serving notice ( His is an Indian IT Co with 2 months notice).

Whats your plan?
