Default Processing time of SMC application after lodging

Hi,

My case is that I am applying for SMC and already meet the cutoff points without job offer. How much time it takes to process the file after lodging and deducting the visa fees? Is there any average time when the case officer will get allocated to the file?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for you reply.
Did you apply for SMC resident visa? What does priority application means?

I have applied under software engineer category, which comes under long term skill shortage list. Would it be considered as high priority?

Hi...Many thanks for the info.
Do you know any case for the job code Software Engineer (which comes under Long term skilled shortage list) in which the visa was processed within six months of lodging?

Just to add, in my case, I will first be granted 1 year work visa as I do not have a job offer.
