And if that was not enough, there are two large screen tv's. One inside and one outside under the grapevine cealing to watch the world cup or whatever you like.
This bar welcomes local Cypriots and ex pats who make up almost 50% of the village.
Drink prices are very reasonable and snacks i.e. hot chicken sandwich with salad is made fresh with daily fresh ingredients.
If you are in that kind of mood ask Christo to make you a brandy sour, or my fav a margurita, he was not one of Limassol's best barmen for many years for nothing!!
Enjoy
The best Brandy Sours I ever had were at the Royal Oak, on the way to Troodos..sadly now gone as the tree fell down.

I would recommend the salsa night's in Fat Tuesday on Tuesdays by Caliente.

It's a great place to meet people and the teacher's are very helpful in getting new people to join in.

About half a year ago we discovered what has now become our favourite place to eat in Troodos - traditional Greek (not Cypriot!) taverna Ta Tzoumerka on the main road from Troodos to Nicosia (after Platania picnic site but before Kakopetria). The dishes are freshly made and always tasty! The way they prepare meats differs from the usual way Cypriots do it (just chuck a big piece of meat and grill / fry it to make a cypriot souvla, covered in fat and often tasteless) - it is either marinated in advance, or is seasoned with local spices /herbs. I can recommend feta saganaki, goat 'soup', loukanika stuffed with peppers, roasted pork.. actually, everything! The prices are Very moderate, even cheap! For 2 people (2 starters, salad, bread, 2 main dishes, drinks - wine or beer; coffee and desert are complimentary!) - we never pay more than 40 eur. They are open Thursday to Sunday. I know this may sound as an advertisement, but I am actually very excited to have found such a nice and welcoming place (it is family run) on the main road that serves a better deal than most of Cypriot places that used to be good in old days but now are all spoiled and try to serve week-old food to tourists and foreigners and charge EUR 5 for a glass of wine!
