As I was reading the summary of the fantastic success of Team GB it struck me there is a missing Olympic competition. Surely Britain could take gold, silver and bronze if there were a synchronised whinging event.

So perhaps this success could serve as an example that Britain is truly Great despite whatever real problems exist. Every country has it’s problems to deal with and improvements to be made but the British whinger is unable to comprehend this or appreciate what he has got.

So to the biggest famous whinges that I hear can I suggest a little less negativity and more constructive suggestion? This is especially for those who regularly harp on about:

1. The lack of infrastructure when they should talk about improvements to the infrastructure.

2. Those that seem to celebrate the NHS being at the “point of collapse” which of course is completely untrue, when they should be addressing specific areas for revision and improvement of this world class service.

3. Those sad Remain supporters who perpetually transmit their doom and gloom messages mainly based on issues of the past when they should be addressing the choices for the best way forward.

Team GB have just illustrated the continuing rise of sporting success. There is every capability for Britain to continue to succeed in all ways and proudly retain it’s respected position on the world and European stage.

Whingers please note.

Pete

Well said Pete.

I would also include those who live abroad that constantly whinge about how things are done in the country they have chosen to live in. Comparing their chosen home to the UK, moaning about the locals etc.
They should either stop whinging or go back to the UK and stop giving the Brits abroad the reputation of being moaning, whinging miseries.
