Hi,

Why save when you can enjoy the cash? Live life to its fullest and live in the here and now. I make about 36k a year here or about 600 to 700 weekly in Adelaide {after tax} so am guessing you will be able to save atleast 10 to 12k. If you live sensibly that is. Btw have you checked out the tax rates in OZ? 70k gross salary would translate to abt 1200 a week so though Perth is a bit exp i am pretty sure you will do just fine.

Warm Regards,

DS

Hello Mr.Reddy,

What are you trying to say? I would appreciate if you are not being sarcastic.

Did I ask anything wrong? I am being responsible and I know I am not spamming. So I do not want any unsolicited advice. I hope someone replies positively n constructively than mocking others.

Cheers

I think of it this way, a kids rubber bouncy ball that you buy in the U.S. for 25 cents is $2.00 here in Perth. Everything is 1.5 times more the cost here. Make-up like Maybelline foundation that you can get at Walgreens or CVS would cost you $12-$15 Here it is $33 at a Discounted Chemist shop. This could explain why no one here wears make-up. A shirt that might have been $40 in the States is $100. Which is why shipping from USA clothing stores and eating the cost of postage is actually far more affordable than buying clothes here.

Default Cost of living figures

The cost-of-living index, or general index, shows the difference in living costs between cities. The cost of living in the base city is always expressed as 100. The cost of living in the destination is then indexed against this number. So to take a simple example, if London is the base (100) and New York is the destination, and the New York index is 120, then New York is 20% more expensive than London.

Recently in Queensland and paid on average 3 for a Big Mac, 4.50 for a beer, however fuel was cheaper at less than 1 per litre
