So you waited till your PR neared 5 years and then entered AUS? - Yes, I had a full-time good-paying job in USA. I was living a comfortable life with my family. Initially, I hoped there would be something done by Govt to change GC backlog conditions. All my hopes were shattered when I heard the one specific immigrant's story on NPR(radio station). That individual lived in us for 30 years, worked in US and his kids were born in USA. He was never arrested before. Unfortunately, suddenly immigrants authorities deported him. I though there are millions of people who are living in USA and need Permanent Residency(GC) more than I do. Still those people are not sure if they will ever get GC. For a moment, just think about temporary situation of all DACA recipients. On that day I decided to use my other option to settle somewhere where there will be no fear of being separated from my kids. Being there at usa for last 4 years helped me to save money and gave confidence to move to a new country like Australia.

Are there any challenges especially if you want to visit out of Australia? --you just need to purchase tickets and need your PR documents. Of course you need mental preparation to move to a new country and that may take a few months.

Is obtaining RRV an issue? --I heard it's not that difficult once you have job and a rented place.

Is there any issues to rent a house without job - Yes there are. Why would you rent a place and sign 11 months agreement if you do not have a job? Better to rent a place based on job location. We moved together(family of 3 along with pregnant wife) and stayed in AirbnB for one month.
what would be monthly expenditure for a frugal spending family of 3 - based on which city you travel. I can tell at Melbourne it would be $700 per week in AirbnB Plus 1.5k per month for food, telephone, transport, health, initial purchases, etc..
Of course, you should bring saving for at least 3/5months. if you are in US you do not need much (will get good exchange rate)
Feel free to ask more questions.
Hi,,Thank you very much for your prompt reply. It really helped me to understand the situation there.
