Of course that has everyone gearing up for the day that he is no longer president (hoping it will be just after the elections in November) - and now he has the perfect excuse to delay or call off the elections altogether. (Constitutionally he isn't supposed to be able to do that, either. But we all know how that goes.)
Isn't that how a bunch of other dictators got into power?

Before anyone says that couldn't happen in the US, I daresay that's what people thought in those countries too.

First they put all their own people in positions of power and control .......................

No, I've been on a bit of a news detox as it was all getting too much, even for me.

Normally there's one disaster somewhere n the world, and if you are really unlucky you might have a friend somewhere near enough to it to cause you worry.

This time round I don't know which friend to worry about first!

Generally the ones back in England, as they are the most elderly.

I had a feeling that DT, or DDT if you remember that obnoxious insecticide, would have made up the rules as he has gone along.

It's a bit like trying to play Monopoly with Junior.

Default OAN - One America News Network

Well, if Fox News isn't bad enough OAN is even scarier. I can see this network's praising of Trump growing even bigger as the campaign really gets going. 'Fewer Covid-19 deaths than killed babies through abortions' - this is the vile stuff they're spewing. And Trump keeps calling on these reporters to promote his crap.

This was hard for me to watch - these people are sick!

I am probably a bit thick, but surely on the one hand he cannot say that there is ‘light at the end of the tunnel ‘ or ‘the cure cannot be worse than the illness ‘ and then on the other delay or call off the elections? Or can he have his cake and eat it ?

Let's just say that he has been known to say one thing one day and the complete opposite the next.

It doesn't even take that long anymore.

The president announced that the US will stop sending money to the World Health Organization, even as the coronavirus pandemic continues. Finding a scapegoat, the president blamed the WHO for the crisis, noting that they “blew it”.
A few minutes later he says this:

Quote:
Contradicting what he said just minutes ago, Trump is now denying that he’s saying the US will strop funding the WHO. “No I didn’t say it,” he said. “I said I’d look at it.

“They did give us some pretty bad play-calling,” Trump said of the WHO. “They’re taking a lot of heat.”
Just WTAF.

He's sunk so low he can walk upright under sharksh1t wearing a top hat.

And that's on the bottom of the ocean.
