Default Donating for the Bushfires in Australia

No doubt most of you have seen the extent of the bushfires in Australia and the horrific videos. This is far worse than has occurred in California, the Amazon and Russia and it has global impacts. Should you wish to make a donation and don't know how to do so, you can go to this site, which includes a petition. If you sign the petition it will take you to a donation. I sincerely hope that many of you will find it in your hearts to donate (and it is IMHO actually in all of our interests to do so) https://www.change.org/p/gouvernemen...303-fr-fr%3Av5

Many thanks in anticipation.

And just so you know, I made my donations via WWF Australia and the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

And here is an article with verified links on how to make donations https://7news.com.au/news/bushfires/...ctims-c-634311, alternatively you can go direct to the WIRES (wildlife rescue) facebook page, where you can make a donation in Euros or the currency of your country of residence https://www.facebook.com/donate/1386...8318179549750/, this link is also verified.

Australia is the 12th richest country in the world.

Charity begins at home....Just throwing that into the mix.

It also has a Muppet prime minister. Someone voted for him.

People need help in France too.

Donating to the people and animals in Australia is not charity. It is showing that you are human, support and care. You obviously have no comprehension of the scale of these fires and the terrifying fact that they are out of control and will continue for a very long time. Yes, some people in France need help but help is there and they are not standing hopelessly while they see people, firefighters, animals and everything they own burn.

Sad world if people only care and support “at home” and not people who are powerless to get help elsewhere. Let’s face it a lot of so called charity cases at “home” are just used to putting their hand out and doing nothing to help themselves.

I've been somewhat indulgent in allowing this thread as it is. There are loads of worthy causes in the world, and this sort of thing runs up against our "no advertising" rule.

I'm going to close the thread to avoid further problems.
