la caminata de San Anton is an old Estepona tradition but it got ignored until it occurred to me that it would be good for ADANA to get it going again. Next year the date falls on a Saturday so we should attract even more participants. I may pluck up courage and encourage horses, donkeys etc as well as dogs, cats and birds. We’re celebrating our thirtieth anniversary this year and have a few events lined up including a benefit put on by our Pea Flamenca, a moraga in July, a verbena in September, an exhibition in April as well as our annual April Dog Show and Christmas Fair and monthly activities organised by the Brits down the. Coast in Manilva.

How long ago did you get your ADANA dog? I’ve now got two from ADANA but didn’t take them to be blessed, Sandra wouldn’t have approved! I walked a dog from our kennels.

Sometimes I feel like packing it all in as I’ve got enough to do with PSOE and the Pea but seeing a dog get adopted and go off to a new home warms even my cynical old heart and keeps me involved. For every four dogs that come in, three find homes. We’ve got a great team of volunteers, loyal conscientious staff and the best most luxurious kennels on the Costas. We are the Ritz of dog shelters, our dogs have covered pens which have long enclosed runs so our dogs are never caged.

If you’re in the area, come and visit us. All information on adana.es

I didn't notice many anti-rabia tags. Maybe you don't have them down that way - we have them in Jan Province.

Of course we have them. All our ADANA dogs receive rabies injections but they dont have tags because they dont wear collars when in the kennels. My two have tags but Choco doesnt always wear the same collar, the tagged one.
Every vet here gives a tag with the injection but not all owners keep them on the dogs.

Which is a pity and defeats the object of the tag - to reassure others that the dog has had its rabies jab for the year.

BTW you're looking good! x
