Re: " Judaism, Christianity and Islam are. Sadly, those three share the same roots, but now fight each other to the death,"

Oh, sure, walk any American city and town, Jews and Christians battling each other in the street 24-7.

In Israel, Jews batter any Christian tourist who dares come to visit.

In D.C., two new Congress women can't wait a week without uttering the vilest blood libel against Jews - they control all the money! American Jews owe their primary allegiance to Israel .... Oh, wait, those were Muslim Congress women. Proudly, the first two Muslim women elected to Congress.

Check your history, especially during the Crusades. One side was as bad as the other. In some cases, they still are; particularly in some parts of the USA, where individuals have committed atrocities against those. such as you describe.

Just read about the inquisition and what it did to people in Europe and Latin America.. I guess they were not true christians.. and they did that for centuries.. They killed other christians, jews moslems , "witches" and anyone that did not follow their rules...

People trying to prove a point get pretty good at cherry picking snippets to suit their narratives.

The trouble is, history remains. Atrocities are everywhere, and are timeless. How about the way Muslims were treated by their neighbors after 9/11...just because of their ethnicity and religion?

How about the mass grave of babies found in Ireland, at a nunnery where pregnant girls were sent?
I will go on to the abuse of children by priests for a more contemporary example...but I'll stop there.

Must we really turn every topic into a focus on the dark side?

Can't we all just get along. People use religion to booster their self image. "I believe in this, so I am that" -- just be a good person, treat others well, and live a happy life.

I had a thought the other day; when people would go to war in the medieval ages, each side would ask God for a winning outcome - who is 'god' to stand behind? Beliefs, beliefs - such funny-ness.

And even today, rival sports teams will pray to the same God for victory.
