Now this idiot just blew the democrat deal of a new Amazon business in New York costing 25,000 jobs and countless other benefits for the area. Go AOC, making the republicans look better all of the time.

"Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a wrecking ball inside the Democratic Party," Thiessen said. "And as a conservative, I'm sitting here with popcorn watching it happen."

He noted that the New York City-Amazon deal was negotiated by the Democratic governor and mayor, and sponsored by Democratic state legislators.

"She comes in -- the newly-elected Democratic socialist -- and wrecks the deal and creates such a hostile environment that Amazon says, 'We don't want to work in this environment. We're gone,'" Thiessen said.

He said this is more evidence that Ocasio-Cortez is "economically illiterate," pointing to her comments in a Yahoo News story:

We were subsidizing those jobs. The city was paying for those jobs. Frankly, if we were willing to give away $3 billion dollars for this deal, we could invest those $3 billion in our district, ourselves, if we wanted to. We could hire out more teachers. We can fix our subways. We can put a lot of people to work for that amount of money if we wanted to.

"There's no $3 billion dollars," Thiessen said. "It's not that there was a cash subsidy to Amazon, they were tax incentives. So literally, she doesn't understand that there's not $3 billion dollars. Amazon took the $3 billion dollars away with it, along with 25,000 jobs."

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is busy celebrating her victory over the tyrannical Jeff Bezos and the horrible burden his company Amazon had planned to inflict on the people of New York City: 25,000 jobs.

“I thought it was a good thing that Amazon was coming to New York and wanted to give us money,” Ocasio-Cortez told the press. “But then I found out they were going to extort people and only give them the money if they worked for it. Forcing people to work if they want to get paid -- how is that any different from slavery?”

A number of people tried to explain to her how that was different from slavery, but she just stared at them with incomprehension. “No one needs to work,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “We just need to tax the rich enough and we’ll have enough money for everyone, and no one will need one of those awful jobs that are just as bad as slavery and almost as bad as transphobia. We could also maybe print some money. I have a printer at home.”
