I remember how Trump used to call into the Fox & Friends TV show like in the 2013-2015 time frame, talking politics, long before he was a declared candidate. He had his own dedicated, recurring time slot. Americans, at least mostly half of them, were cultivated by his talk.

The way I see it - this whole persona/ethics etc of Trump really has little to do with him. It is a reflection of what a large portion of the American citizenry are/feel. At this point I believe that many Americans ARE the people that attend MAGA rallies. THAT is America's real problem.

yes as many people are saying in Europe, Trump is what he is.. but how can so many people vote for him.. I guess that it is the ugly side of America raising its ugly head.. That is the worrying thing . Trump will say anything that makes him feel good about himself and will have people applauding him..

It is not complicated.

No, he asked that Biden be investigated for threatening the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor (which Biden openly admits) or not get their money, that was not a favor but a ethical and legal matter, a quid pro quo. But liberals are more concerned about what Trump said than Biden's obvious corruption.

How in the world do you differentiate ¨pressuring a government¨ between these two cases? Let alone Warren and Sanders withholding money if Israel does not change it's stance on Gaza?

You cannot have it both ways, either asking a country to do something is wrong or it is not. The major difference is that Biden, Warren and Sanders admitted that they would withhold money if they do not get their way, exactly what they are accusing Trump of doing, which he didn't.

In this speech, Biden boasts his threat to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loans from Ukraine if they did not agree to fire the prosecutor who happened to be investigating the company giving his son a cushy sinecure.

https://thefederalist.com/2019/09/24...-sons-company/

Go ahead, attack the source because you cannot attack the substance of the speech, Biden is too stupid to know when to shut up.

What qualified Hunter Biden to get a job for millions when he had absolutely no knowledge or experience in this field other than his father was the vice president who was withholding money if he did not get his way?

The democrats know they can't win the election so they are trying to put on a show, they also know that they can't impeach the president because they lack one crucial thing, evidence of wrongdoing. They are merely trying to procure votes by doing the bidding of their voters.

It's not complicated.

Trump wanted the Ukrainian president to publicly announce an investigation into the Bidens. The obvious purpose was to damage a political rival in the upcoming US presidential election. That is prohibited by the US Constitution.

I had a long thread composed but then killed it. Maybe I am paranoid but I would be leary of saying things bad about Trump in a public forum. He will retaliate. Paranoia is a real disease and I guess I have it!

Your ok as long as you access this site using a VPN :-) (You are using a VPN service, right ?)

I've often wondered what percentage of the lurkers on sites such as this are 'government employees'.

I agree - but on forums such as this, probably anywhere for that matter, a person does't want to make threats or wish someone ill. Even google scrapes this site for content.

You could ask comedian Kathy Griffin about that.
