If I have misunderstood then I apologise, but I'm not stupid and one has to assume that if I have indeed misunderstood, its because it hasnt been conveyed very well!!!!........Oh and how negative do you expect us to be when we are referred to as "some idiot admin clown"!!!!

I am not saying i agreed with the last comment in the post no that is rude but the concept and the idea has some useful points and i can understand you editing his comments. But you don't need to remove posts just because they agree with someone who you don't agree with or understand.

besides the odd dissagreement does make it a bit more interesting , don't you think.

We only remove rude or insulting posts - that said, I tend to keep them on as it shows others what sort of person is posting. I think its far more damaging to someone who is rude on the forum to be seen as rude and bombastic dont you think?????

Back to the idea in question, it is not legal, it would go against the Greek governments ideas and therefore this forum cant be seen to be encouraging it - even if it was a good idea, which it isnt. I cant stress strongly enough how dangerous and how insulting to the Greeks I think this idea would be - heck, its bad enough in this country when we, in the UK take in foreign students for money, to help make ends meet. We're vetted, our homes are vetted, they're vetted, theres a teacher and mentor on hand....... and even then, its a huge sigh of relief when they go. What happens if something is stolen? What happens if something is damaged? What happens if someone gets drunk and disorderly? What happens if violence and/or abuse irrupts? What happens if the house is repossessed during a visit? What happens if the visitors dont leave? What happens if it rains for the whole two weeks? What happens if the visitors dont buy groceries and dont pay? What happens if someone is taken ill? What happens if both parties dont get on? What happens if accusations of wrong doing are made? What happens if kids cry, are noisy all night?.......................... the list is endless and it sounds like a terrible idea for a holiday for both sides!!!!!!!

So forget this suggestion, its a no go and the forum cant be seen to be encouraging or agreeing with it.

Veronica and true lies like this.

And you've proved me right as you have removed the most important part of my post, God girl flex those muscles.

So we've no right to help people eh? Well it's a bloody cert that the *******s who caused the problems aren't going to help the people.

And if you are ever poor I hope somebody like you doesn't come along to stop somebody like me who is trying to help you.

The bit that was removed from one of your posts was removed by me not Jojo. I removed it because it gave a link to your own forum which is against regulations.
If you had a butchers shop would you like it if another butcher came into your shop and said to your customers come to my shop it is better than this one?
Of course you wouldn't and anyone with half a brain would know that you do not go onto someones elses forum and try to poach their members for your own.
Anyway you no doubt have some very interesting conversations with your one and only member who you have already poached from this forum, though to be honest with your attitude and your propensity for encouraging illegal activites you are quite frankly not fit to run a forum.

I can assure you that if I am ever poor, I wouldnt want some foreigners/total strangers moving into my house to have a holiday and I certainly would be mega insulted that someone like you felt arrogant enough to even think that this was a way of helping - especially as they could end up with a tax bill! "poor" people have pride! And should your rather dangerous idea take off?? What would happen to the staff of nearby hotels???? You need to think, rather than throw insults

Jo

No, but then we donít have butcher shops, we have forums and I donít want to poach anybody, I want to share that is how progress is made. I will quite happily recommend your forum to people Veronica, or apparently more fittingly: Miss Anal Retention.

Poor people also tend to have empty bellies.

And as far as what would happen to the staff; I donít know. But I do know that your ability to think would be put to better use by asking: Ďwhen will they be paid?í Hotel workers and even doctors and just about everybody else you can think of have not received remuneration for their work for over 6-months, it might even be longer (oh! of course except high ranking Government officials) these are more important questions that need to be asked, I am sure you agree.

It is just like your earlier post when you asked what about this, what about that, what about the other. And Jo, I donít know the answers to those questions either, I want to find out the answers and that was the reason for raising the idea in the first place. We need to devise a plan after talking and discussing it between ourselves and people who are knowledgeable and can help us do it properly. But I was met with negativity from the start and you put the kibosh on it - you were not even prepared to let your members consider the concept, you spoke for them and only one person in all this time demonstrated an ability to think for themselves.

I've had enough of this useless waste of time; you people obviously have more time to squander than I (I had given up on this site months ago and it was only the notification that kefvmr had commented on my post that brought me back).

So you can go back to your nice safe lives, continuing to indulge yourselves in polite banter and just ignore the fact that other peopleís lives and living standards have been made abysmal by the power mongers of the world. But donít give that a thought - just continue with the Ostrich syndrome.

Finally, remember the words of the prophetic poem by Martin NiemŲller, the content of which has never been more relevant than it is today with the World Bank threatening the living standards of everyone on this planet.

Well, like I said in a previous post, there are organisations in the UK and europe who offer student exchange trips - oh but evil money changes hands. Most importantly, everyone is vetted thoroughly to make sure that the families are safe to live with, that there will be care, creature comforts and that all parties are happy with the arrangements and of course there are teachers and mentors on call 24hrs a day in case there are problems. Your idea is ill thought thru, would be costly to whoever organised it and without doubt would need professional assessments - which would in turn mean that the evil government would be able to levy taxes!!!!!

Personally I would worry that a Greek family with young children could be placed at the mercy of ............ well with the jimmy savile business raging on, you know where I'm going with this comment!!!!! But hense my previous post about CRB checks!

I'm closing this thread now cos its pointless

Jo xxx
