Default Parents naturalisation and small kid/s

Hi guys,

Do you know if 3 years old kid, will become automatically French, if one of the non-French parents becomes french by naturalisation (effet collectif)? So my kid was born here, and his name was listed when I sent the form.

I tried to find the information, and found this:

https://www.service-public.fr/partic...osdroits/F3068

What makes it strange is the 5 years remark, since the first lines just mention that the kid has to live with parents and to have his name on the decree.

Also this excerpt:

Thank you

From the link provided, yes he will become French when you do.

The five year remark concerns children who do not become French when one of their parents become French. (I don't know how this can happen, maybe with a child who has divorced parents and doesn't live permanently in France?) In this case, the child has to have been living in France with his parents for a period of five years before you can apply for French nationality for him.

From what I understand, that is not your case.
