I am wondering if there are any English speakers here in Pertuis who would like to meet for a coffee and chit chat. I realise it isn't very likely, but keeping fingers crossed.

You're not too far from Aix en Provence, where there is an AVF (Accueil des Villes Franšaises) which is an association to help newcomers get to know the area. On their website: https://avf.asso.fr/aix-en-provence/ they list a couple of English language activities, including an "English coffee" and a "Conversation Anglaise" which is apparently intended for French folks wanting to practice their English - but as a native speaker, I'm sure if you offered to help out, you'd meet a whole bunch of folks in the area who speak English as a second language.

Thanks Bev, I go to Aix frequently with my daughter, but perhaps now that the heat has gone it is time to be brave and get myself there as she is now back at work. Since I don't have a car would be taking two buses, but could probably find a uber for the return.
Will check it out and thank you
