Default Lease extension document required to renew TDS?

Our first 3-year lease ends soon and we have already verbally told our propriétaire that we want to renew (I understand that renewals are automatic unless either party wants to change terms somehow, which we don't).

Has anyone ever had their préfecture require a document showing a lease extension as proof of residence at Titre de Séjour renewal time (we'll have to do that later this year)? If so, what kind of document did you use?

Thanks all!

The lease would automatically roll over, there is no 'lease extension' document. You should expect the rent to be increased slightly.

The landlord is required to formally advise you if the lease will not be renewed.

(Assuming, of course, you have a standard 1 year furnished lease or 3 year unfurnished lease).

Normally all the prefecture will require for renewal of your TDS is proof of residence - i.e. the classic utility bill addressed to you at your current address. Whether and when the lease is up for renewal isn't really something they bother with.
