My reply disappeared into the ether. There is no reason why they should not allow you to enter France - either they will take your visa as still valid, or they will stamp your passport for 90 days entry. As for the rest, this is why I suggested the death certificate and written explanation - with a bit lof luck they will accept it, worst case scenario you have to return to the US and apply for a new visa (or start the process online and return ready to be called in), which one would reasonably anticipate would be granted.

I hope you realise how much I appreciate this. I am scheduled to attend weddings, tutor some English, and have paid for lodging in Vitre through November. If I must, I will certainly fly back and do what is needed; I just want to make certain I get there on the 30th. Your support is much appreciated. Kind regards
