Default The new 2019/20 insulation for a 1 scheme

Hi, I started getting the spam calls again about this (which I always hang up on!) which has led to to going and actually reading the official sites.

It 'seems' like a good deal where they pay 20/m to get your house insulated and you just pay a token 1 - we definitely need it and seems like it is 'too good to be true' but that always makes me scared! It just seems a shame to miss out though as it seems everyone is entitled to it (other than very high earners) for being worried it may be a scam!

Has anyone started down the path? Or done one of the previous schemes?

Any thoughts / hints or tips?

Thanks all xx

Do NOT deal with any of the scam artists to call you to suggest this "opportunity."

If you are interested in getting your house insulated, contact a local contractor who does this sort of work. They really do know all the tax angles and can explain exactly what sort of subsidies and tax breaks are available. We had our attic insulated (well, re-insulated - after 40 years the insulation is kind of inefficient by today's standards) and put in for the tax break on the declaration I sent in last week. In the past, we've gotten a couple of the "improved energy efficiency" tax breaks and at least the tax credit ones are very easy to apply for - so far no problems in getting the credit.

Oh no absolutely I wouldn't - I tend to hang up on them! It rather alerted me to the new scheme that I found out about on my own, it started in April and runs through until end of 2020.

Just wanted feedback if anyone had actually done it. Good to hear you were able to get some of the earlier schemes with no problems!

Likewise have used a specialist insulation firm which were recommended by a neighbour They arranged a "prime" and also gave us instructions about which form to fill in for a refund from the tax office

Hi clothmama. I suggest you take a look at the official government site, faire.fr https://www.faire.fr/

Cheers
