Default Missed my OFII convocation for the residency card.

Dear members,

I received a convocation from OFII to come and sign the CIR contract and check my level of French, but the mail arrived a day later than the date of the appointment. I got no other notification from them.

I am extremely stressed about this, as I never miss any administrative procedures and appointments and this is the first time.

Could somebody advise me on what would be the best thing to do? I am thinking of going to the OFII offices and just explaining this whole situation.

It must be noted that I have already received an SMS with notification (perhaps it's from the Prefecture?) that states my card is available along with the date and time when I can pick it up.

I would really appreciate your advice as this is just nerve-wrecking.

Thank you!

Just call or email OFII requesting another appointment because you received the notification too late (of course, you can go in and explain if you prefer to do it that way, just don't expect them to go through the process at that time). And make sure you pick up your card

As EH says, just contact the OFII and explain what happened. You're far from the first person this has happened to, and you most likely won't be the last. Do whatever you're most comfortable with - calling or stopping by. They will know how to handle this.

Oh, and go collect your CDS if it's ready. Don't let that lie around waiting for you.
