Default Cheapest place with a view of the med

Still hoping that residence in France will still be possible once the fog has cleared ("fog in the Channel, Europe cut off " )Where is the cheapest place to buy an apartment with a view of the Med, any where from Monte Carlo to the Spanish border. We plan another trip this summer in our motorhome all along this coast, taking time out with our French granddaughter en route. I use all the usual real estate sites, and Le Bon Coin, but maybe some of you members know of some hidden gems.

You may find that a "view of the mountains" is cheaper than the Med! I don't know about the Eastern end of the coast, but here at the Perpignan end many pretty coastal towns are empty in winter..... shuttered, miserable, no shops open etc.

You may find just over in Spain..costa brava is cheaper, but is a big change.

Good luck and keep us informed of progress....DejW

I am afraid that cheap hidden gems on the south coast of France with a view of the med will most likely be paste...

If you are a gambler, you could consider buying "en viager".

Otherwise if you are not in a hurry keep checking the sites you mention, you never know...!

With regards to viager, I would hate to be hoping someone would pass away before me so I can have the property. We spend the European winter south of the equator so would only use in the summer months

Found you just the place : 140 000€ .. good sea view .. Juan Les Pins :

The only drawback seems to be the charges .. which are 1500€ a year, not extortionate but not cheap either.

Given it's a studio, another question would be how many bedrooms is the OP looking for.
