Default Editing problem

I have been trying to change my email address as I have a new one. It refuses at accept the change. I contacted a moderator on the forum who also tried to change hers and had the same problem. I was requested to report it here - Alvarro

Yes it was me.

To see if it was a one-off, I tried to change my email address on my profile & had exactly the same problem.

Hey, this is an issue with the software the site uses. You have to fill in all the fields, including the password fields. You don't have to change your password, so you can enter the password you're currently using, just something has to be added.

Do you mean that we have to enter the password in all three password fields, even if we don't want to change it?Screenshot_2.jpg

Correct, use your current password in all 3 boxes. This will allow the submit button to activate the action.

We only close discussions if there is a good reason, for instance forum rules are broken or they are very old with out of date information.

Neither do we remove them unless there is a serious breach of forum rules or the law.

I'm afraid I see no reason to close that particular thread.
