Any of us who have voluntarily served in the Armed Forces of our respective country have already made that choice and on leaving the military were no longer obligated to do so.

I served my country for 24 years. I saw what the politicians gave me on retirement - zilch! I would serve again but with a different perspective. I would extract the maximum while giving the minimum, just as government has been doing.
