Default Is there flatshares in Dubai?

Hi I am single girl moving to Dubai I have 3 months free accom with my company but i was wondering if there are flatshares like there are in London as I dont want to live alone really.

If so how much would this cost roughly? I am not fussed for totally fancy place jsut somewhere nice and if it had a pool then bonus

I would be workign near the convention centre so what areas would be best to live in that are sociable etc seeing as i am single girl out wanting to make friends and i do like to party.

Hi Mandibee
Welcome to the board.
I have merged these two questions together as they are very similar.
It will stop people answering twice to your questions, and will be easier for you to keep track of.

Im not familiar with the area around the convention centre, so I will somebody else answer that for you.
Dubizzle.com lists available places for rent.

Please also be aware that it is technically illegal to share housing.
You will need to have permission from your LL to sub let if you want to share.
Keep it in mind.

There isnt a lot of cheap housing around in Dubai. Do you have an allowance at all for housing or just the 3 months?

There are lots of places in Dubai, to get and and meet people, there is a night out at the Madinat on the 17th I believe, with a lot of newbies from the board going along.

i get 3 months free till i get myself settled then i have to find my own place. I take it its not like London where someone has a room to rent in their house??

How much would a studio be in an area near to my work then for myself that was in sociable area?

People do it, its just illegal.
You certainly would not share with a man you are not related to or are married to.

Zabeel,& Satwa are close to where you work (so my DH thinks)
Perhaps even Bur Dubai may be an option

Dubizzle has a 1 bed in BurDubai listed for 135,000dhs per year.
There is also a studio flat (with in a villa) in satwa for 50,000 dhs a year.

No sharing with a guy.
It is ILLEGAL for people to live together who arent married. (unless you are brother & sister etc)
The cost of rentals is very high...if its not a lot of money..chances are that it is quite possibly a dive, or really far out of town etc.

What budget do you have for housing? Obviously, the more you have the better the location, amenities etc.
