Of course - but it depends entirely upon how much money you decide to waste and where you want to live.

How much is the housing allowance ?

How many of the five are of school age and what nationality curriculum/school do you want them to go to ?

Thanks for reply. School allowance is 40k per child, with 2 kids of school age. Third child is only 2yrs old so will stay home for now. We will follow the British curriculum.
Living wise depends on the school location (though working in internet city). Housing is just 140k allowance so most likely be a 3 bed apartment. Maybe an affordable Villa but we don't want high Dewa charges.

I can’t advise on school costs but I know they vary a lot depending on quality.

Although rent has dropped considerably you may find you end up topping up your allowance depending on location but 140 will get you a property somewhere. Also don’t overlook startup costs over and above what your company may give.

On paper you should be fine but how much you save will really depend on your lifestyle. Other thing to consider is tax in the UK, certainly in the short term and assuming at some point you become tax free, seek good advice on this. Do you have any other financial commitments in the UK ?

There are some good threads on here with cost breakdowns, all I would say is that whatever you work out on a budget spreadsheet you will definitely spend more.

I see on another board you are are aiming to save 9000+ aed per month. Gives you 23k for everything else. Personally I wouldn’t want to run a family of 5 on that but many here would and do. But you need to give it some serious thought. Likely you’ll need 2 cars, groceries for 5, holidays, occupying 3 kids can be expensive, school costs outside of fees, leisure activities for 5, etc etc etc
