Default Polis Area - A Few Property Questions

Hi All

This is my first ever forum post .
My husband and I lived in Cyprus in the late 80's / 90's while he was in the Army and we have had many holidays since. We are now looking at buying our own little place in the sun, for us and the family to use for holidays and then in the next few years to retire to.

We particularly like Polis, does any one have any feedback on estate agents in the area. We did view some properties last year with A20 and they were really friendly / helpful, but it would be good to hear from anyone who has used agents in the area.

Secondly title deeds, we have seen an apartment that we like that has no title deeds but have been advised that they should be available by the end of this year. The advice was that we could buy under a trapped buyers agreement and that some money would be held back by our solicitor until the deeds were ready. Has anyone done this? Would you say it was something to avoid or has it worked for you.

I promise this is the last question, I have read that to rent out a property for holidays it must be registered with the tourism authority, would not having title deeds affect that all.

Thank you for reading.
Louise

Walk away. Don't buy anything without a Title Deed.
