Default Resident Visa details|Need Help

Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question, would anybody help me to acquire answers:
1. My interview is due in October | What kind of questions do they generally asks and are there any tips or suggestions
2. After the success of the interview, generally how long it takes to get the results on my respective application.
3. In case my resident visa gets approved how long will it take?
4. What is the validity of RV?, I mean after receiving RV how much do I have to move to NZ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

1. Have a look at the stickie post in the Coffee Lounge - Immigration Sharing Ideas :-
http://www.expatforum.com/expats/cof...ons-guide.html

2. The CO will probably make a decision on your application immediately after the interview. Following this and before you are notified the whole application needs auditing by another CO which can take a month. This is to ensure Immigration have followed their rules to the letter. You will hen find out the decision.

3. If the decision is a Resident Visa you will have a period of time (maybe 6 months ?) to send in your passport and final levy fees. Once received, Immigration will apply the visa sticker and post the passport back to you. Takes around 4 weeks from the day you send the passport in to receiving it back.

4. RV is valid for 12 months before it expires. You must activate the visa by crossing the border within 12 months.
