I would like to know with 125 points is it good idea to apply for EOI.

am still single so i cannot claim points for spouse.

No.
You have zero chance of selection.
If you had a job offer then maybe there would be a remote possibility of selection during the 6 months it would be in the pool but without a job offer you've no chance.
Look at historical selections. Usually all fortnightly places are taken automatically with eoi's of 140 points and above.

EOI submitted Jan 2010. ITA Jan 2010. ITA submitted Apr 2010. RV approved June 2011. Passports stickered and back to us Aug 2011. Secured job Dec 2011. Arrived Mar 2012. PRV Mar 2014......now eligible for citizenship but at $1175 Yeah but Nah!!!
