Default B.E with honours

Dear Expats.
I planned to apply for Software tester. I have prepared my paper work and when i was about to file my application, the rules were changed my NZ immig.
After March 28, 2014 updates from NZ immig, It looks like , just BE. electrical and electronics engineering degree is not enough, now they need B.E with honours.

After many try, i got the requrired IELTS score, but the above information put my desire on hold from applying NZ PR.

I passed B.E (first class) from University of madras, which fetch me only level 7, but the required level now is level 8

Kindly help me if there is anyother alternative way to apply NZ PR.

Thankyou verymuch

Gopi

No alternative if you don't have enough points.
Could you continue studies to get the degree with honours ?
Partner points ?
More years experience ?

Hi Gopinath

Can you share the info where you have read that BE with honors is required and Level 8 is mandate.

as per my knowledge ..

Either you do BE in any stream which is required in NZ (Level 7) or BE Honors if the nzqa give Level 8 the points one would be given is 50 .. ultimately all the points should sum up to 140 or more..

So if got 140 or more points than review thoroughly and submit your EOI.

plz review this link ..

Hello Rudy_m
Thanks for your response.

I got the information from
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd.../0/INZ1093.pdf

Its mention on the page 15 under "ICT, Electronics and Telecommunication" for the Electical and Electronics engineering degree as well.

One of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
(NZQF Level 7) majoring in electrical
engineering
- a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
with Honours (NZQF Level 8),
majoring in electrical engineering
AND
a minimum of three years’ relevant
post-qualification work experience

###########################################
If I read it correct it says .. one can have either BE or BE honors ..it is not saying you must have BE honors to submit your EOI.. in both the cases you get 50 Points..
