Default New Zealand EOI 125 points

Hi All,

I have filed EOI through online with 125 points without job offer few months back.
I doubt will 125 points EOI be selected as there are categories for selection of EOI every fortnightly as below.

1.EOIs with 140 points or aboveWith job offerWithout job offer.
2.EOIs with points total of 100 to 140 with job offer.
3.EOIs with 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage (Latest selection on 17-April this category is not there)

Currently my application status is Change in progress and is removed from pool asking to resubmit the application if any changes are there.

If I resubmit what will be chances to get selected?
Do I have any chance to increase the points for submitted application?

Any suggestions please.

Thank you in Advance,
bangalore boy

Hi there
If the points you calculated on your original application were correct based on your submission, then the only thing that will increase your points is a job offer.
And I'm afraid it's a while since 125 points & no job offer was selected. All you can do is try for that elusive job offer...

Hi,

Unfortunately at the present time an EOI of 125 points without a job offer has a near non-existent chance of selection.
The amount and quality (No of points) of EOI's in the pool could change, allowing EOI's with this figure to be selected in the future, however I very much doubt it.
EOI applications seem to be on the increase and the quality also seems to be rising.
If you resubmit with the same points, I fear it will not be picked and then pulled out of the pool again after another 6 months.

Only you can answer the question whether you have a chance to increase your EOI points......

Have you tried to secure a skilled job offer ?
Could you do more study to increase the level of your qualifications to gain more points ?
Could you carry out skilled work in your home country for a longer term to gain bonus points for experience ?
Can you gain a skill and/or experience for a skill on one of the Long Term Skilled Shortage Lists to enable you to claim bonus points ?
What about a partner.....could they do more to increase the pouts you are claiming for them, or what about if your partner became the principal applicant - what points would you score then ?

etc etc.

Good luck

My Consultancy is saying now they had filed EOI's even with 100 points wihtout job offer too.Their process is to file EOI, on selection EOI by embassy they start helping candidate with job offer.

They asked me to think and let them know.I am suspecting it so I will ask them to give contacts of people who they filed with 100 points.

Rubbish. The EOI won't be accepted with 100 points, so the EOI won't be selected. I'd change your consultancy.

Hi Bro,

If you score 140 points in EOI, then your application will be selected automatically by servers, but you can appy for EOI from 100 points. Minimum points to apply EOI is 100.

The selection method is like this.

When an application is received between 100 to 139 points your application will be put in to the pool.
It is then manually selected by the immigration authority.

One by one, applications will be approved in descending order from the pool.

I'm getting 125 points without IELTS. First I will be put in to pool.

You may get selected or you may not. You need to take the risk.

Once you apply your application will be in pool for 3 months, maximum 6 months (what I got to know from immigration office) then it will archived.

Archived meaning its not approved.

If you have lots of money then you can apply. You can take the risk

Once your EOI is approved a dedicated immigration officer will assigned to you.

According to the stats in immigration website 85% of applications are approved every month from India.

Around 30% are Indians all over the world

Try applying urself. Why pay money for a consultancy, they just cheat us.

All the best

Regards,
Likith

Just to clarify the EOI (Expression Of Interest) process for the benefit of members interested in it.....

A person only becomes eligible to apply an EOI when they score 100 points or more.
Please see the points indicator - https://www.immigration.govt.nz/pointsindicator/

All EOI's of 100 points or more will be placed in the EOI pool.
Every fortnight, Immigration select a number of EOI's from the pool corresponding to the number of case officers available for that fortnight. These EOI's are their workload.
All EOI's with points of 140 or more are automatically selected each fortnight and as such guaranteed to be selected from the pool.
When this level of EOI's has been exhausted and there are places remaining in that fortnight's quota, Immigration then look at EOI's with lower scores, choosing EOI's with bonus points for job offers first.
All EOI's selected will go through preliminary checking and if all is ok with the points claimed, Immigration will send the principal applicant (Invitation To Apply) ITA.
The principal applicant will then have a period of 3 months to make a formal application for Residency using the correct form, collate all their necessary documents to justify the points claimed on the EOI - including police certificates, medicals, qualifications, certificates, transcripts etc etc.
On receipt of the formal application, Immigration will then assign an Immigration Case Officer.

If your EOI remains in the pool for 6 months without selection, it will be removed and you will receive notification that your EOI was unsuccessful.

Please see here for up to date details of theEOI selection stats - 2013 selections and New Zealand Residence Programme Fact Sheets - New Zealand Immigration Service

In my opinion, an EOI of 125 points without a job offer has virtually no chance of being selected in the current climate due to the high number of high point EOI's that seems to be in the pool - I wouldn't recommend applying as it may just be a waste of money.
I would much rather recommend the applicant researches and spends time looking how they can increase claimed points before submission.

Regards,
